unbearable to say the least. >> he was a courageous, fearless journalist. very compassionate american. i mean the best of america. >> james foley was new hampshire native who covered many conflicts his parents say he had a deep desire for freedom and wanted to share the human side of the war. >> love park dozens of people gathered to rally for ferguson missouri. the organizers called it the hands up turn up. they're peaceful protests comes days after violence in my sore set off by the shooting death of michael brown. attorney general eric holder is in ferguson tonight and he sat down with brown's family. holder also met with members of the community and the fbi earlier in the day. meanwhile, a grand jury began hearing evidence today as it weighed possible charges against officer wilson. the officer who shot brown during an apparent struggle on august 9th. >> i want to see less soldiers and troops around in the

community, for one, and basically just more justice in the system, you know what i'm saying? >> it could be several weeks before the grand jury delivers its decision. authorities have vowed not to release any information about the proceedings to avoid compromising the case. a violent robbery unfolds inside a philadelphia chinese restaurant and cops say it all started when one guy refused to light another guy's cigarette. it happened at lucky garden in frankford. cops say one man pummeled the victim when a second guy came in and started searching through his pockets. the victim tried to fight back with an umbrella. the thieves stole his wallet with about 300 bucks in it. >> delaware county tonight a man is accused of dressing as a ninja to pull off a brutal attack on his former boss. the victim is still in the hospital as fox 29's dave schratwieser reports neighbors are stunned. >> either they're crazy or they're just definitely bad. >> reporter: neighbors on this quiet tree lined street in upper providence were stunned by news that one of their neighbors had

been viciously beaten by a man dressed in a ninja outfit in what police are now calling a premeditated attack. >> i'm shocked what can i say? >> i can't imagine all the things going on any more. it's not the same. >> reporter: police say 29 year old michael norly, jr., dressed like a ninja and hid in the woods for three hours tuesday morning before he brutally attack his ex boss with a hammer. the victim is still hospitalized with serious head injuries. >> the attack was just one of the worst i've seen. it was an absolute brutal atta attack. >> reporter: he attack occurred in the 300 block of sycamore mills road just after 8:00 a.m. the 57 year old victim took his trash can to the sidewalk when he noticed someone in the woods dressed all in black with a mask. suddenly he was being viciously beaten. >> this was not random incident. this was an attack that was in our opinion premeditated. >> reporter: victim managed to knock the mask off with a kick. he immediately recognized him as

former employee. norly fled but investigators got right on his trail. within hours he was arrested at his home in lititz. >> he was a former employee, we believe, at least at this point that may have precipitated this event. >> no kidding? an ex employee? that's pretty sad. glad they're on it quickly. >> reporter: dave schratwieser, fox 29 news. >> south jersey police arrested a modern day bonnie and clyde accusing them of several wild robberies across the area. police have arrested 36 year old jason deangelo and 37 year old joanna, they held up a number of banks and convenience stores. cops say during every robbery they wore the same masks and demanded money from employees. investigators say they finally caught up with the two yesterday and they are both in jail tonight facing robbery and drug charges. >> the state issues the revel casino its final closure order today. its doors will shut down on september 1st. the casino was ordered to stay

hope threw labor day weekend after it failed to find a buyer. it's one of three casinos closing next few weeks. the others are the showboat and trump plaza. and hundreds of workers from all three casinos gathered together at a prayer service tonight. the service was held at a church near the casinos. once they shut down over 8,000 people will be looking for a new job. those attending the prayer service say it's one way to keep hope alive that things will work out somehow. >> we've got breaking news right now. taney dragons just finished their game and the little league world series. >> real heartbreaker for mo'ne davis and the dragons just losing the game but their run is not over yet. we have got crews across the state covering the excitement for you. drew dickman at city hall. was at that packed with local taney supporters but let's start with chris o'connell live in williamsport tonight. chris? >> reporter: good evening, a heartbreaking loss for the taney dragons losing just minuting a eight to one against las vegas.

the score really didn't tell the story. taney was in this as they are most of these games. i want to show you what's going on on the field right now. actually taney just went into their clubhouse as we speak, but take look at some video just a few minutes ago. the las vegas team celebrating during the final out just minutes ago. taney had their chances. taney coming in here as the hometown favorite here in williamsport. 34,000 people here in attendan attendance. that's 10 more thousand than the phillies got tonight. they could not pull out one of their signature wins. mo'ne davis giving up three runs as pitcher being pulled in the third inning just not enough for this taney team. this was their dream just getting here. winning the title is just going to be icing on the cake and that dream is still alive despite the loss tonight. now, keep in mind this team just got their little league charter two yours ago. they never thought they'd be

>> sky fox over an accident in northeast philadelphia today where a car crashed into a busy deli on the 1700 block of grant avenue at grant plaza. police say the 80 year old driver plowed right into the front doors. there were about 20 people inside. fortunately, no one was hurt. police say the driver was taken to the hospital but just as precaution. >> a delaware county man is accused of confronting his neighbor with a gun. >> the reason something he found on his girlfriend's facebook and instagram pages and fox 29's thalia perez has been talking with that neighbor.

>> dramatic video captures what turned noter feig lunch on the town. police chase ended with a suspect slamming into a packed restaurant patio. this is in california just over the golden gate bridge from san francisco. police were after the driver for domestic assault. they tried to pull him over but he took off hitting another car that sent him careening into that restaurant. seven people ended up at the hospital including the driver and two others in the car. a young girl from california falls to her death while hiking in yellowstone national park. the eight year old girl was about to start fourth grade. she was hiking with her family in the grand canyon. when she stepped off the trail lost her footing and fell. friends at the san diego school she went are devastated. >> i'll just keep it with me. maybe just leave it at school

where she sat. >> this is the third accidental death at yellowstone this year. former phillies star curt shilling has mouth cancer and he blames it on 30 years of using chewing tobacco. last year schilling revealed he had cancer but he did not say what kind. doctors say he's now received seven weeks chemotherapy and radiation treatments. earlier this year hall of famer tony gwynn died of cancer that he also blamed on chewing tobacco. schilling says he's now in remission but he's lost 75 pounds. >> the father of the teenager who claimed suffer from affluenza is now in trouble himself. >> ethan crouch is now serving 10 years of probation after a deadeadly driving wreck. he was 16 year old when he drove drunk and killed four people. authorities say his father fred couch was impersonating a police officer so he's now arguing he suffers from affluenza. basic he's not at fault because he's so wealthy he doesn't know

captioned posters like this are popping up on facebook and twitter threatening a purge day in more than a dozen cities since the sequel debuted in july. and now the philadelphia region has been added to the list. different dates are going around but the earliest sites this friday. >> it's crazy people out here. so who knows. i don't think anything will happen. >> reporter: philadelphia police criminal intelligence unit and homeland security counter terrorism bureau are aware of the threat but say there's no credible information to suggest it will happen. a spokesperson tells fox 29 that officers will be vigilant, though. >> it's a little bit scary people take these things that seriously, and social media kind of helps it to spread i guess. >> i don't know if they're going to do this whole they know but i know that mentality exists. the potential absolute system there. >> reporter: others are relieved to hear police will be keeping a watch watchful eye. >> definitely. everybody should take it serious. talking about killing people. there's crazy pebble out here

there's still no baby in the picture. >> actually the third time they said you can go out and celebrate. this is it. so and then eight weeks when we went back they said the heartbeat is gone. >> more heartbreak. more discouraging thoughts. >> reporter: 30 year old spiegel has been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. these last five years have taken a toll on the couple physically, mentally and financially. >> we've depleted our savings account and maxed out some credit cards. >> reporter: four physical will the treatments including three rounds of inn veto fertilization have cost the couple in excess of $45,000. the couple is still trying to figure out what to do next. in the meantime they have turned to social media. they create add go fund me site to try to help alleviate some of the medical costs associated with infertility. >> i don't think people understand that it is a disease. and most insurances don't cover

infer tell will the. >> reporter: so far the spiegels have raised more than $2,000 and more importantly for them increased awareness. >> i don't think a lot of people really understand or know what infertility is. they think the sam way i thought. take few shots, take a few pills and you'll get pregnant. it's just not that easy. >> the website has also inadvertently developed a support network for people with similar struggles. >> i've had people e-mail me and call me with different ideas like hey, i heard about this. have you tried this? and i've learned a lot from it, too. >> reporter: spiegel's doctor of the cooper institute for reproductive and hormonal disorders says there is nothing that wrong with nicole to prevent her from having baby. >> it's just matter of finding the right combination of treatments. >> we have all kinds of tricks. that's why i feel very confident that she will get pregnant. >> reporter: although it may take more time. more patience and more money.
